1. What cookies and tracking technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on the user’s device. Similar technologies, including pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, SDKs and online identifiers, may perform comparable functions. In this document, such technologies are collectively referred to as tracking technologies where appropriate.
2. Categories
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies and technologies
These are required for the website to function, including security, session management, privacy preferences, forms and essential functionality. They do not require consent within the limits permitted by law.
2.2 Functionality and external content
These enable maps, videos, widgets, reviews, sharing tools and other external features. Where they involve storing information on or accessing information from the user’s device for purposes that are not strictly necessary, they are activated subject to consent.
2.3 Analytics and measurement
These help measure traffic, sessions, interactions and performance. Where they do not fall within an exemption from consent, they are activated only after the user has made a positive choice.
2.4 Marketing and advertising
These may be used to measure campaigns, attribute conversions, carry out remarketing or personalise advertising. They are used subject to consent where required.
3. Services used
Google reCAPTCHA. Protection against spam, bots and abuse in forms and interactions. The service may process technical and usage data.
Google Analytics. Website-usage analysis and traffic measurement. Legacy Universal Analytics configurations and their historical cookies are no longer identified as current services; the notice should reflect the version actually implemented on the website.
Google Maps. Display of maps and embedded geographic content.
YouTube. Display of embedded video content.
Meta / Facebook. Social widgets, interactions and, where configured, measurement or advertising tools.

ShareThis. Sharing website content through social networks and external platforms, depending on the configuration actually in use.
TripAdvisor. Display of reviews, ratings or other TripAdvisor content embedded in website pages.
Aruba. Website hosting and technical infrastructure.
Kross. Platform used to manage bookings and the related technical functions.
4. Services no longer listed as current
The previous Cookie Policy referred to Google+ and to a legacy Google Analytics configuration using cookies typically associated with Universal Analytics. Those references have been removed from the list of current services because the technologies are obsolete. If any legacy script is still technically present on the website, it should be removed or replaced and the cookie banner should be aligned with the actual technical configuration.
5. Consent and preference management
Where the website uses technologies that are not strictly necessary, the cookie banner or consent-management platform must allow the user to accept, reject or configure the available categories. Merely continuing to browse, scrolling or closing the banner does not in itself constitute valid consent for technologies that require consent.
The user can change or withdraw their preferences at any time through the cookie settings command or link made available on the website.
6. Duration
The duration of tracking technologies varies depending on the cookie, provider and technical configuration. Some are session-based and others are persistent. The actual list of technologies and their duration should be consistent with the technical scan of the website and with the information provided through the consent-management platform and by the individual providers.
7. International transfers
Certain third-party services may involve transfers of or access to personal data from countries outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, the mechanisms provided by Articles 44 et seq. GDPR apply, including adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses or other applicable safeguards.
For U.S. recipients that are validly certified, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework may apply.
8. Browser settings
Users may also delete or block cookies through their browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may impair the correct functioning of the website, forms or booking features.
9. Updates
This Cookie Policy may be updated to reflect legal, technical or service-related changes. It should therefore be reviewed periodically together with the actual configuration of the cookie banner and the scripts installed on the website.
